Features of DIY!
A Do It Yourself site is multi-faceted -- giving you a website you can call your own. With ease of use built-in and plenty of customization options, this tool is both flexible and powerful. Below are just a few of the options you can choose from:
A content page is your basic page. Here you can add a headline, a photo, a story, or all three. Most people use this as their "staple" page when developing their content. The bulk of your website message is likely to be contained in this page style.
Have you ever wanted to be a "blogger"? Well, now you can with our dated journal feature. DIY makes blogging a snap so you can concentrate on what you want to say instead of how to build the pages. You can also post press releases, event calendars, and so much more in the dated journal format.
Do you require interaction with your website audience without giving out your e-mail address? Well, set up a contact page and you can have just that. This is a terrific way to get feedback, comments, suggestions, or just a quick note from your visitors to let you know they like the site. It's an easy way to gather the information you need.
Clearly -- everyone loves photos! Photos are a great way to drive traffic to your site, and our image gallery option can help you share images in seconds. Your gallery can include photos, artwork, or logos and with a predefined layout format, the results will be professional and appealing.
Links are a great way to promote your business and personal connections as well as making it easier for your visitors to find what they’re looking for. It's a great networking tool, so don't pass up the opportunity. And remember to always ask for reciprocal links (having others link back to your site) because that will drive up your visibility in search engines.
A direct link is just that – a jump from one of your main navigation buttons directly to another website with no stops along the way. It helps your viewers move quickly to what you want them to see and it saves time.
Do you have files you want your visitors to view or download? Just post those in our file download option for easy access. Most file formats are supported (PDFs, Word Documents, WAV files, MP3s, etc.) and the uploading and downloading process is a breeze.
Please note that you can choose more then one of these page types to use and you can have up to 10 navigation buttons. So, you can have two different image galleries (such as artwork for one and photos for another) or two file download sections (such as one for employers and one for employees).
The look and organization of the content is totally up to you. But you’re not flying solo – if you need help or guidance, we’re just a phone call or email away.
